Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

Lead the standby generator aftermarket sales activities in a defined territory to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability, delivery standards, timelines and customer satisfaction is being delivered and met.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers and interface with them on a daily basis
  • Will be troubleshooting and problem-solving customer generator issues while being able to effectively resolve customer complaints
  • Work with customers to provide technical solutions to generator system deficiencies
  • Prepare quotes and proposals
  • Conduct training for customers for newly installed generators
  • Build ongoing personal and professional relationships with customers by performing weekly site visits
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and maintain profit margins
  • Plan sales work on a long-term basis by setting quotas on calls made to potential and current clients and the potential of sales for each established account
  • Enter customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database
  • Travel through assigned territory

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Three to five years pertinent sales experience preferably in generator product or service sales, industrial sales or related industries, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent desired
  • Possess good problem-solving skills while being able to effectively resolve customer concerns
  • Results-oriented, self-starter and excellent organizational skills
  • Must have excellent communication capabilities
  • Must have valid drivers' license and clean driving record with the ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to work with unit teams in various levels and manage projects as needed
