THE JOB

As a Sushi Master Cook, your role involves executing culinary techniques and preparing dishes under the guidance and instruction of the Chef. You will also set the stage for guest dining experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their dining experience to createWOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us!

THE PAY Starting rate is $26.19/hr

THE DAY TO DAY

  • Demonstrate your culinary passion by skillfully preparing a variety of menu items, adhering to established recipes and quality standards

  • Ensure guest safety by following proper food handling procedures

  • Comply with occupational, health and safety standards, ensure food is stored and kept at proper holding temperatures through the use of thermometers

  • Follow methods of food preparation, cooking, portion size, mixing of sauces and garnishing of foods to ensure food is prepared in an approved manner as prescribed by the Chef, Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef

  • Set-up and maintain a clean and sanitized workstation based on pars established by Chef, Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef

  • Evaluate cooked food before serving for quality flavors and appearance by taste and smell

  • Drive the Customer Relations Management system by ensuring orders are handled correctly

  • Complete closing requirements directed by Chef, Executive Sous Chef and/or Sous Chef

  • Delegate tasks to other job classifications as instructed by Chefs

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Has previous cook experience in Japanese cuisine

  • One (1) year prior relevant cook experience

  • Prior relevant experience in a high-volume sushi restaurant

  • Takes pride in their work, provides a safe environment, and maintains health standards

  • Collaborates effectively with teammates

  • Describes themselves as detail orientated

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Highschool diploma, GED, or equivalentexperience

  • Ability to work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends
