Job Description
  • Supports the Program Director of Workforce Development in achieving the goals for the EmployNV Business Hubs set by the Local Workforce Development Board.
  • Provide presentations to Employers, economic development groups, and networking events that detail the wide range of workforce programs available to businesses via the Public Workforce System, including recruitment, training, and financial incentives.
  • Works in collaboration with Stakeholders to coordinate networking and business events at EmployNV Business Hub to create outreach opportunities and greater access for local Businesses to the Public Workforce System.
  • Must be able to travel to the five business hubs in the City of Las Vegas, Green Valley, Henderson, and North Las Vegas daily or weekly to provide adequate staff coverage of each location. This position will also be available on site at our transitional housing locations.
  • Effectively communicate with Business Services Consultants, Job Developers, Career Coaches, program management, and businesses to identify and capture employment opportunities.
  • Conducting outreach and contacting appropriate employers to promote the hiring of participants to meet program requirements.
  • Identify potential business development opportunities and referrals to increase Work Based Learning (WBL) opportunities for Business Customers via Public Workforce System Partners.
  • Complete required data entry accurately and promptly, recording all employer contacts and services in the Management Information Systems; collecting data and reporting to the Business Services Manager.
  • Research and disseminate detailed knowledge/data of the local labor market to interested stakeholders.
  • Works with an integrated, multi-partner team to communicate strategy, schedule events, and develop universal internal processes for the EmployNV Business Hub.
  • Completes all required administrative duties including, but not limited to, scheduling, and responding to telephone and email inquiries.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • An associate degree and/or a minimum of 2 years' job placement or sales experience.
  • Demonstrated multi-year experience in a Business to Business facing position, including Sales, Product Customer Service, Personnel Staffing, or related field.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills, strong presentation skills with public speaking, event organization, and hosting for varying group sizes preferred.
  • Must have an appropriate and valid NV state driver's license and be able to meet requirements for Equus's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, team environment that is performance driven.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to program responsibilities.
  • Ability to use various software, I.e., MS Office, to carry out duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to work independently most of the time, with occasional work after normal business hours and on weekends.
