Position Summary

At Light & Wonder (L&W), we are committed to providing exceptional support to our employees through our People Solution Center. Experience firsthand what it is like to be a creator at Light & Wonder by joining our company as a part-time intern. As a People Solution Center Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR service delivery and support various HR functions.

This internship offers exposure to HR systems, processes, and best practices, providing valuable learning opportunities for students or recent graduates interested in pursuing a career in human resources. The mission of the Creator Care Team is to deliver exceptional customer service to a broad range of employee groups in a timely and accurate manner. The team works in a shared services environment and uses email, ticketing system and telephonic communications to resolve issues and inquiries with sensitivity, compassion, and discretion. To achieve success in ensuring all concerns are successfully addressed, the team works together collaboratively and supports one another in ensuring the employees' questions and concerns are resolved by providing a positive employee experience.

*The internship begins May 20th, 2024, and continues into the Fall semester. This opportunity is a hybrid work model in our Las Vegas office.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provides frontline support to employees by responding to inquiries, performing research, and resolving HR-related issues.

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to employees, managers, HR, and third parties in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Assist with the administration of HR processes, including employee lifecycle events such as onboarding, offboarding, transfers, and promotions.

  • Support data entry and maintenance of HR systems and databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of employee records.

  • Assist in collaboration with HR partners to streamline processes, develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), and implement process improvements.

  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, such as system upgrades, process automation, or employee experience enhancements.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HR database.

  • Provide input and recommendations on processes and improvements supporting technologies.

  • Assist with other departmental initiatives and projects as assigned.

  • Maintain working knowledge of company policies to provide guidance to employees and managers while ensuring compliance and consistency.

  • Contribute to special projects, assuming responsibility and timely delivery of allocated tasks

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the entire team is compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in human resources management, business or a related major, from an accredited university

  • 18+ years or older

  • Bilingual English/Spanish language skills, written and verbal (preferred skill)
